Bio
Eric “Milagro” Montoya, born December 28th 1988, is a native of Northern New Mexico. Residing in Tesuque, Milagro was raised with his father and grandparents. “I couldn’t tell them enough how much I appreciate all they’ve done for me growing up. My mother and family have also been huge supporters in my chase for dreams.” Milagro first took an interest in music around the 8th grade. While writing poetry in class for a school project he realized he had a special talent. People would cry because they could feel the emotion in his words and they could also relate to it. He continued writing poetry for a short time, until he met a group of friends that were involved with Hip Hop music. After hearing a couple instrumentals he immediately knew music was the perfect medium for the words of his poetry. “I do this music for the love of the expression. The feeling I get when someone hears me and relates to what I’m saying tells me their really looking forward to the next song, or puts my music on their myspace page or voicemail. It’s a trip how I’ve come from writing lyrics in class and recording on a generic microphone, to being signed with such a great label as Tu-Tone Records.” His influences are from various artists and genres. From Latin Rap and Hip Hop artists such as Mr. Sancho and 2pac, to Classic Rock icons such as Eric Clapton and the Jeff Healey Band. “Being exposed to many different types of music during my childhood has really helped me to be diverse with my sound and style.” Milagro signed with Tu-Tone Records in late 2007, and has big plans for the future. Be on the lookout for the youngest artist of the label! He’s sure to make a name for himself.
